An acquaintance of mine was recently doing a documentary about the country. As he traveled throughout the land his goal was to gather information and eventually write a book. His travel first brought him to the great northwest. As he was looking around he decided to go into a local church. There upon entering he noticed at the back of the room a golden phone booth. As he approached he discovered a golden phone in the booth. There next to the golden phone was a sign. It said: Direct line to God; $10,000 per minute. He thought this was a little different so he sought out the pastor and asked him what was up. The pastor told him that, yes, that was a direct line to God. My friend noted this and continued his travels.
He went to the southwest, the northeast, the Midwest - every where he ventured he discovered the golden phone booth with the golden phone that had the sign: Direct line to God; $10,000 per minute.
Eventually my friend ended up in North and South Carolina where he discovered a small church. As he entered he saw the golden phone booth with the golden phone. Next to the phone was the sign; except the sign read: Direct line to God; 25 cents per minute. Confused he sought the pastor of the church. He asked the pastor what was up - everywhere he had traveled he had discovered the golden phone booth with the golden phone, but everywhere else it was $10,000 per minute and yours was 25 cents per minute.

The pastor said: "Son, here in the Carolinas it is a local call - you are in God's country"
