Fan The Flame

I received this by e-mail:

Through ages past our country has endured
Our security alone is in Our Great God
Not in riches or military strength assured
Where are the neighbors of old or the stalwarts of
family, which through faith made this country great?

Why through pain and agony must we go before we
realize it's Christ we must know!

Great Jehovah we must cry, on our knees we must fall
to bring to us those with an answered call. To FAN
THE FLAME and stir up the gift of God.

A Spirit of power, love and clear thinking is what we
pray, to trust in you alone for your goodness endures
forever a faith that nothing can sever.

Continually awaken us to your command
the Love of Christ is your demand
Have mercy on us O'God if we fail to FAN THE FLAME.
